News 2005: The Year That Was

6/19/05
For the last couple of Saturdays, I have been wrestling for Razorback Allstar Wrestling
in Ward, AR @ the Ward Coliseum. We have been getting ready for the TV tapings for
the R.A.W. show which is set to air in mid July on the WB network Channel 42 out of
Little Rock, AR. The actual tapings should start on Saturday, June 25 @ 8:00 pm, so
come on down to the Ward Coliseum, have some nachos, be on TV, and experience
the absolute best pro wrestling show in the state of Arkansas. I have to honestly say
that from top to bottom, from the office to the boys, the crew in Ward is the most
talented & professional crew that I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I
have had the time of my life performing there in front of the awesome fans in Ward.
While wrestling in Ward this past Saturday, I had the privilege & honor of having my
match against Matt Riviera refereed by none other than the WWE's own Harvey
Whippleman. Mr. Whippleman was very nice and was extremely complimentary about
our performance in the match. Harvey still works for the WWE, and shows up to the
R.A.W. show about once a month, perhaps scouting talent (HMMM....!!!!!).
Also this past Saturday, I competed against a legend in this sport, the Outlaw Don
Bass, in a Six Man Tag as I partnered up with Jamie Jay & the Jamaican Kid to take on
Matt Riviera, Don Bass, & Chris Bass. So, this has obviously been a momentous
weekend of firsts for me.

Life is a heck of a roller coaster, Man! One day you're inching towards the top of your game,
honing your craft, meeting legends, wrestling legends, gaining exposure, & having the time
of your life. Then the next day, you hit a brick wall. It's not all that serious, but basically, I will
no longer be wrestling for Razorback All Star Wrestling. Without braking too much kayfabe,
let's just say that a certain legendary booker was willing to stand up to a stereotypical
promoter and take up for Frank Thornton & a whole lot of other immensely talented
performers on the R.A.W. crew. I will always remember what this booker did for his crew &
the things I have learned from him in the short time we have worked together. I also look
forward to working with this man & the rest of the crew on future endeavors. By the way, if
you are a wrestling promoter in need of good talent, I might be able to come up with half (if
not an entire) wrestling crew for you!!!! In all seriousness, I have had the most fun of my
wrestling life this past month, & I intend to do the same whereever & whenever I perform
next. There are several options on the table right now for me, & I shall be waying them over
the next few weeks. So, don't be too surprised to see another news update on here very
shortly.
Oh, & by the way, if you happen to attend the show in Ward, AR this Saturday, or any
Saturday thereafter, please do not be reluctant to chant very loudly "WE WANT FRANK!!!!",
"WE WANT FRANK!!!" or for any other R.A.W. performer that you notice is no longer there.
It's all good, Yo!!!!

Alas, I have returned. The much anticipated Profile link is currently up and running.
Also, I have added links to some of the names on the Pro Wrestling Record pages,
so now you can find out a little more about the people whose lives I have made
miserable throughout my tenure in this sport. I shall add more links as they
become available.
As far as where I will be wrestling next, there are some very good opportunities in
the works that I am not @ liberty to discuss @ this point. What I can tell you is that I
have spent the last several weeks training with some great young wrestling
prospects @ an undisclosed location in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area. If you can
figure out the location & the time that we are training, I will present you with the
KISR 93.7 Golden Skeleton Key, which unlocks all of the stores in Central Mall after
business hours.
Good Luck,
From your friends @ Central Mall & KISR 93!!!!!!!!!!

I sit here before you a battered and bruised man. Last night, I recieved the beating of my life,
courtesy of one Matt Riviera. In the 15 months in which we've competed, Nov. 12th in Harrison,
Arkansas was the most brutal & vicious enconter so far. Fortunately, I was able to survive and
came up with the win!!!! My debut in MSW was a resounding success & I Iook forward to
working with the promotion again in the future. Oh, & to all of the fans in Harrison on Saturday,
the show ran a little long, so the 2nd intermission was cancelled, causing me to not be able to
meet with you guys & sign autographs. For this I truly apoligize, but rest assured that the next
time Frank Thornton is in town, I will hang out as long as it takes to meet with you guys. So
bring those 8x10 pictures & anything else, and I will be sure to sign it for you!!!!!!
One of the many highlights of the MSW show was that I met pro wrestling legend "Hacksaw"
Butch Reed. It was a true honor to share the same locker room & to be on the same card with
such a great performer & a class person.
The groundswell of support for yours truly continues to build, as some of
my peeps from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma have
begun to band together to form The "Official" Frank Thornton Fan Club over
@ Facebook.com. You must be in high school or college to join the Face
Book website and you can find the group in the Northeastern section. A big
shout out to Billy Sumner for setting things up!!!! I will personally be joining
in on the messageboard over there very soon, so sign up for the site &
come on over.
In the mean time, I plan on continuing to step up my training regimen &
prepare for my college finals. I am currently looking into several options
regarding where I will be wrestling next, so keep checking the site & I'll
keep you posted.
As I write this latest update, I have just learned of the passing of one of
the most talented wrestlers in this sport today, Eddie Guerrero. Having
recently lost two of the most important people in my life, I truly feel for
what Eddie's family and friends are going through at the moment, and
my thoughts and prayers are with them. Eddie was one of the greatest
performers to ever live in the history of the wrestling business. I, just like
millions of others, am going to miss him.

I've just updated the Schedule/Events section of this site with new
shows to take place on Dec. 3, 2005 in Conway,
Arkansas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12/8/05
The shows in Conway were gangbusters!!! Wrestling at 10:00 in the morning is
definately a different experiance, an acquired taste, if you will. The folks at the
Human Developement Center that day were electric, and I enjoyed meeting and
signing pictures for every one of them. You guys are AWESOME!!!!!!
I've just added a Legends page to the website. It includes some great people that I
have had the privilage to be around and perform with.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!

The first two TV tapings for Razorback All Star Wrestling took place this past Saturday
in Ward, AR. Yours truly wrestled and fought in 3 matches last Saturday. First, the
main event of the first show against The Madd Chef in an Iron Man Match, & twice on
the second show: In a singles match against my greatest rival, Matt Riviera, and in a
Battle Royal to determine the first ever R.A.W. TV Champion. The shows will begin
airing on Saturday, July 16 @ 12 noon on the WB Network channel 42 out of Little Rock,
AR. So tune in to see some outstanding wrestling action!!!
This last Saturday, I once again had the pleasure of having WWE Official Dr. Harvey
Whippleman referee my match against The Madd Chef. I also was stunned and
delighted to meet a real wrestling god, Sputnik Monroe, backstage!!!! Mr. Monroe even
performed guest commentary throughout both TV tapings. As I shook Sputnik's hand
backstage, he began studying my shaved head & recalled how he used to have a
golden blond streak through the middle of his hair. He then remarked that now his
balding head resembles my balding head. I told Sputnik that I was never able to grow
a streak of any kind through the middle of my hair. A great, great night!!!!

It is freaking on!!!!!!! On November the 12th, my 15 month long fued with Matt Riviera
comes to a head in Harrison, Arkansas at the Fairgrounds Indoor Expo Building.
This will be my debut match for the Mid States Wrestling promotion. My matches
over this Summer have began to create a bit of a buzz in this area, and I am ready to
continue the momentum, as I intend to knife-edge chop Mr. Riviera until his chest
begins to look like Freddy Kruger's face. I am bound and determined to beat this
effeminate, Donnie Osmond looking jackhole. If it is the last thing I do, I will pin Matt
Riviera's shoulders to the mat, 1-2-3!!!!!!!!
Mazultov!!!!!!!
