News 2006: Going for Broke!!!

2/19/06
Let's get this thing Rockin' & Rollin', Son!!!! 2006 is shaping up to
be a banner year for Yours Truly, as I have officially signed on to
take part in the resurgence of the legendary company, Mid-South
Wrestling. Mid-South Wrestling produced an array of talent that
has carried the sport of professional wrestling for well over 20
years, such as Shawn Michaels, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Junk Yard
Dog, The Fabulous Freebirds, Ted Dibiase, Dr. Death Steve
Williams, Terry Taylor & the list is endless. And soon, you will be
able to add Frank Thornton, and many others to that list.
Production for the Mid-South TV show is underway as I speak. The
TV show will air out of Fort Smith, Arkansas within the next couple
of months, and I'll be sure to keep you posted on the time, channel,
website, ect. as the time draws near.
On Friday, March 17 I will be making my NWA debut, in Humboldt,
Tennessee, as I am booked to wrestle for NWA Mid-South, not to
be confused with the aforementioned Mid-South Wrestling. Check
the Schedule/Events section for details. There are so many more
things being lined up right now that I would love to talk about, but
unfortunately the time for talking about them is not now. What I can
tell you is that I have never been more ecstatic about being a
professional wrestler than I am at this point in time.
Start the Insanity!!!!!

Mid-South Wrestling is underway, and just about ready to roll!!!!! The first 6 episodes
have been taped, and the show will be on the air all over Northwest Arkansas very soon.
I personally had the opportunity to view the pilot episode, and the show looks really
good. I am so proud to be taking part in Mid-South Wrestling, as this TV show reminds
me of how I first fell in love with pro wrestling. It is a presentation of the sport of
professional wrestling that has not been seen in at least 15 years.
There is going to be a HUGE TV Taping for Mid-South Wrestling (see Schedule) on
July 15 in Booneville, Arkansas, which will also be a benefit show for the Fresh Water
Church. I am booked to wrestle in 2 matches that night. The first match is against an
opponent to be decided later. In my second match, I will be taking on a man of Arab
heritage, Prince Al Farat.

The Mid-South Wrestling TV Show will be making it's debut tommorrow night,
Friday, June 16 on Cox Cable channel 31 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at 12
midnight, and across Northwest Arkansas at 10:30 p.m. We will also be
filming matches for the TV show in Oklahoma City this Sunday afternoon
(Father's Day) see Schedule/Events. The headline match for this event is
Ricky Morton vs Beautiful Bobby Eaton. Is that old school enough for ya?

You could not ask for a better birthday than I had last night in Booneville. First of
all, it was the best wrestling show with the best crew I've been around. I was
involved in 2 match of the night candidates, that are 2 of my favorites ever. Then,
after my Main Event barn-burner match with Prince al-Farat, I see Gary Gram
coming to the ring with a cake that has my picture on it. I was like, "Oh, here we
go!!" So, I stood in the middle of the ring holding a cake while a packed house of
wrestling fans sang Happy Birthday to me. It was without a doubt one of the
greatest nights of my life!!
Now, on to business. July 28th at the Castle of Muskogee, I am making my NWA
Universal debut at "First Blood Friday" against "Mr. Satuday Night" Michael
Barry. I've been wanting to work for NWA Universal for some time, and I'm
looking forward to the show. In the coming months, NWA Universal has
scheduled the Chris Candido Cup II, and the NWA Universal Tag Team
Championship Tournament. I, of course, not only intend to qualify for these
tournaments, but shall make every effort to become successful in both efforts.
Then, Saturday, July 29th, I will once again battle the pompus Matt Riviera in
Morrilton, Arkansas @ the National Guard Armory for Arkansas Wrestling
Entertainment.

Hey, guess what!! August 17 I'm wrestling in West Memphis on a Thursday night.
You know what else? The main event is Jerry The King Lawler vs. Kamala. Ah,
no way, Frank!! I'm afraid so, Gang. Also appearing will be Superstar Bill
Dundee, Outlaw Don Bass, Derrick King, and Matt Riviera. It's gonna be off the
hizook, SON!!!!
The Mid-South Wrestling TV Show, continues it's onslaught of success on a
weekly basis. The Mid-South Wrestling Website is now up and running, and...
Hey, here it is www.traditionalwrestling.com. More Mid-South events will be
announced soon, so until then keep watching the TV Show. And if you're not
watching, what the heck is wrong with you? Check Schedule/Events for TV
airings.
Pasta Lasagna!!!

That's right!!! I cold kicked it with Jerry Lawler, Kamala, and Don Bass in the same night!
Jealous? I don't blame you. Ray Charles even came back from the grave that night just to take
that picture of Kamala & me!! So, that was West Memphis. Also, I suplexed one Matt Riviera
into a running ceiling fan, which was hanging above the ring at the VFW. No big deal.
I've held off speaking of this on the site for some time, but since the time is drawing near I shall
now speak. I will be participating in the Harley Race/NOAH camp September 18 -23. I have
spent this Summer training my "Boo-Tay" off for this event. I don't want to jinx anything here, but
it could turn out to be kind of a big deal. Wish me luck!!!
